How a Cartoon About a Rooster Laying Eggs Slandered Xue Baochai

Some people are already so deep in "official rhetoric" that they can't find their way out. Are literature, art, and creative works really just about pursuing fame and profit, serving politics? All sorts of labels, mistress? Anti-feudal? Pretentious? They spread without restraint. They preach, yearn for, and glorify the so-called clouds at the edge of the sky and the fragrant hills at the end of the sea, yet they keep twisting the meaning of things. They no longer treat literature as literature in its own right. Literature no longer cultivates the heart or elevates the spirit. They wander into the black hole of conspiracy theories, where the "universe" they see has lost all its original truth, and then they give it grand names like "thought," "freedom," and "anti-feudalism." The Dream of the Red Chamber: its tragic fate today is no longer just that its ending has been lost. It is also the "appropriation" by its readers. The Dream of the Red Chamber is no longer a beautiful paradise beyond the world; it has become a cruel and vile war of invasion. Are you tired? Are the ruling class really always right? Wake up!
