The Book of Luoyang

[Finale coming soon warning: five chapters in all. Feel free to wait until it's complete before reading.]

Ever since Empress Xu was inexplicably reprimanded in the year 747 of the Dayan era, Luoyang has known no peace. Xu Boyan never says a sincere word, yet Wen Yuyan takes him at his word. Perhaps that is fate.

They say that when someone saves your life, you should repay them with yourself. But what about someone who saves your virtue? Should that debt also be repaid with oneself? Alas, no one can answer.

Xu Boyan. It had to be Xu Boyan.

There are two celebrated beauties in Luoyang. One is like a flower, while the other has passed through countless flowers; one may be admired from afar but not touched. Somehow these two ended up together. Perhaps what Luoyang's history books cannot fully record is not the schemes and intrigues behind history, but the youthful splendor hidden within it.

Told from the pursuer's perspective. Content warning: the recipient of affection is very forward with the pursuer, perhaps? In any case, the recipient is doted on. This is the story I carry in my heart, the Xu Boyan and Wen Yuyan in my heart. They may not be written perfectly, but please don't criticize their love.
