The Rise of Strange Beasts: The Pact at Immortal Lake

Blurb: Nie Yao and Xun Tianchu planned their graduation trip to the ancient town of Xunxian. They got tricked into boarding a tour bus bound for Qianxian Lake. Xun Tianchu could tell something was wrong, but couldn't put his finger on it.

In a secluded paradise, an unexpected earthquake awakens a monster sleeping beneath the lake. The villagers vanish, and boulders block every way in and out.

The travel group has only one goal: escape!

Along the way, several of them gradually realize that they had been caught up in the heart of this affair long ago.

“Xun Tianchu: This notebook... Did Dad know the disaster was coming all along?

Nie Yao: We have to get them out, even if that means becoming a ruthless leader.

Xu Zhiyun: So it really does exist...”

A little skit:

Yao Zhuo: Isn't it weird that we're the only tour group at the whole scenic area?

Xun Tianchu: Have any of you ever wondered why Qianxian Lake is called Qianxian Lake?

Xu Zhiyun: Qianxian Lake... We're the only ones who came here. Could we be the immortals it was summoning...?

Huangfu Heng: Whoa! Then we're the chosen ones!

Wang Weiqi: Hey, hey, hey! Have you ever heard of chosen ones being picked to feed a monster?
