Jade Linglong

Synopsis:

Yuhongxiu and Yulinglong are twin sisters. After their parents die, they are taken in by their older cousin, Huo Donghan.

Yuhongxiu is a virtuous, gentle woman. At the urging of Huo Donghan's parents, she temporarily becomes his betrothed.

Yulinglong is withdrawn and deeply wary of Huo Donghan, but he treats her with a kindness he shows no one else. Little by little, Yulinglong's heart opens to him, and before they know it, the two fall in love...

When Huo Donghan returns from the capital in winter, he settles the affairs of the tea business and prepares to marry Yuhongxiu, the woman he does not love.

Yulinglong lets slip the truth in passing, and Fan Bingkun, manager of Suzhou's grand silk shop, overhears. When he learns that the woman he admires has fallen for the young master of the Huo family, he tells Yuhongxiu just before her wedding. Taking advantage of her jealousy, he strikes a deal with her to break up the lovers.

Unable to withstand Yuhongxiu's earnest, well-meaning pleas, Yulinglong reluctantly becomes Huo Donghan's second concubine.

After the wedding, Yuhongxiu reveals her dislike of her sister Yulinglong and makes things difficult for her at every turn.

When her rival becomes pregnant with the child of the man she loves most, Yuhongxiu wastes no time in staging a drama called "The Civet Cat for the Crown Prince."

In the end, Yuhongxiu cannot escape the blame. Deeply sorry for what she has done to Yulinglong, she finally passes away...

Then the Huo household faces another great crisis. How will the fragile Yulinglong keep the family together?

Time can wash everything away. For the sake of the children as they grow up, Yuhongxiu chooses to leave this world.

At last, one day, the truth begins to surface around Yulinglong. The ugly scars of the secret come rushing in like a flood, impossible to stop...
