I Promise You the Next Life II

Perhaps everyone's life follows a different path, but by and large, they all lead to death.

Before Ruoqing could understand this truth, she met the two most important men in her life.

One taught her to learn to love herself. The other made her love all the people of the world.

At the tender age of sixteen, she wasted her time on people and things that weren't worth it. She endured hardship, but could only grind her pain into powder and apply it to her own wounds in an attempt to heal.

Then came the sound of a gunshot. All of Shanghai descended into chaos. No one escaped this war, whether they were elite members of high society or ragged, destitute beggars.

Her strength was small. But what if she was the one person who could make a difference?
