Also known as: Reborn Female Supporting Character's Cultivation Notes
A story blending household rivalry, transmigration, cultivation, and being reborn. -.-
But it's serious drama.
An inspiring story of growth.
Hot-blooded, upright transmigrated girl X cold, proud, dutiful husband material of a senior brother
[The unserious, ridiculous version of the blurb]
One day, Su Cha did a good deed and stood up for someone, only to be brutally killed by a criminal and transmigrate into a recently read household-intrigue novel... as the adopted green-tea daughter with the same name, the character she hated most?
Oh my, oh my. She's a straight-laced girl through and through, but now she's been forced to make a living with a bewitching face that attracts admirers everywhere... Eldest brother, second brother, prince's heir: all the consequences of the original body's actions have landed squarely on her...
Eldest brother: I want to marry you!
Su Cha: ...I'll have to politely decline. I'm not the person you're after. Keep away.
Second brother: Xiao Cha, you've been away from your brother for so long. Have you missed me to death?
Su Cha: Blech, get lost, you scumbag. I don't want to miss you to death, I want you to die.
The heir: Hah, your behavior is strange and your manner is flirtatious. You're just trying to seduce me, aren't you? I've met plenty of people like you.
Su Cha: ...Buddy, you sure are confident.
But after transmigrating, she starts to empathize with the supporting character. Life in this secluded manor, where every step requires careful calculation, is pretty rough... She's a supporting character, yet she keeps getting bullied and beaten by other supporting characters. Even though she's taken over someone else's body and replaced the original soul, the plot keeps following the original storyline...
Help! I don't want to get disfigured and die in this awful place! I want to go home!
Su Cha decides to cling to the original heroine... and weather the storms by her side...
Heroine: You're strange. You're not the same as in your previous life.
Su Cha: ...
Su Cha: …
Su Cha: Y-Your previous life?
Heroine: I was reborn.
Su Cha: ?????????? What????????????????
After helping the original heroine find her match and outsmart the villains, Su Cha thinks she can finally escape the plot and retire for good... when a male cultivation protagonist appears out of nowhere...
Xiao Heng: I think you have a strong affinity for immortality. Would you like to come with me and pursue the Dao?
Su Cha: ...Uh, what?
Su Cha really wants to dig out her phone from her previous life and check.
Did she transmigrate into the wrong book?
[The serious, literary version of the blurb]
Su Cha, a modern young woman, is stabbed by a criminal while coming to someone's aid. As she lies at death's door, she transmigrates into a household-intrigue novel she recently read. She thinks she's simply transmigrated into a book and will have to change her nature, carefully navigating the stifling, rumor-filled inner courtyard to survive. But a sudden turn of events at a banquet drags her into a shocking conspiracy.
Helping others fight villains, find their matches, hunt demons and banish evil: in this unknown world, there's a struggle between good and evil, desire, and the tangled complexities of the human heart...
Little by little, she discovers that her transmigration is not as simple as she thought...
A fated encounter;
A journey of cultivation that tempers the soul;
The Dao of Heaven is vast, and the road to immortality is long and thorny.
What is the righteous path, and what is the demonic path?
After enduring twists and turns in another world, the principles and convictions she holds dear are tested, shaken, and shattered-
If she returned to the world she came from, would she still choose to stand by the same ideals of justice?
"Bleh, bleh, Master! This tea is so bitter!"
"...You little whippersnapper, you don't understand. To make tea, you roast it, let it cool, then grind and sift it into powder. Add salt when the water first boils, then add the tea powder at the second boil and stir it in a circle. Stop at the third boil..."
"That's so much trouble, Master..."
"What's so troublesome about it? Life is like drinking tea. Fill the cup to eight-tenths; fill it to the brim and it will overflow. First comes bitterness, then sweetness, then the lingering aftertaste."
Those who awaken become one with heaven and earth, free in the emptiness.
If the heart does not die-
The Dao cannot be born.
"...Look, the tea is ready."
Find a different core in a traditional cultivation story.
Walk the path of cultivation anew, from a woman's perspective.
P.S.
1. A story about a woman's growth. Slow burn. Household rivalry and cultivation in the early part, cultivation in the later part. The story focuses on cultivation; the reason will be explained in the story.
2. Both the male and female leads have flaws, and they only grow and change later on. The male lead isn't mature from the start (an incomplete die-type husband, growing alongside the heroine), and he's slow to realize his own feelings.
Part One: strong male lead, weak female lead. Part Two: the heroine strives to catch up. Part Three: strong female lead, weak male lead, with a touch of older-sister-and-puppy-boy dynamics.
3. The early story piles on all sorts of elements... household rivalry, cultivation, ensemble cast, transmigration, rebirth... It touches on a bit of everything and includes commentary on values, with a focus on growth and little romance. How do I put it? I've piled on so many elements that the plot has taken on a rather strange flavor. Of course, readers can judge that for themselves...
4. Nobody is perfect, and the characters aren't simply good or evil; the story focuses on their perspectives and isn't a wish-fulfillment power fantasy. The heroine drives the plot and doesn't build a harem. There are a few red herrings early on, and the pacing is somewhat slow. The pace will pick up later, so I hope you'll give me more of a chance and be patient...
5. There are many personal worldbuilding elements. If that bothers you, read with caution.
That's all.
