[Neighboring esports novel: I'm Really Here for a Tryout [Esports], seeking readers! Launching on 23.5]
Everyone in the esports scene knows ICO is a strong team.
But they never win championships.
Is the team at odds? Is their equipment bad? Do they not train enough?
None of the above! See the headline on the front page of Esports Weekly: "Let's dig into ICO's star player, the guy who's always unlucky."
Wherever he goes, it's always the worst part of the map. The airdrops he finds never have anything good. Wherever he lands, there's never a vehicle.
If the team's star player weren't tough and good with a gun, ICO would have kicked him out ages ago.
Then one day... the arrival of a new captain changed everything.
ICO landed in the perfect zone! ICO got an AWM! ICO won the chicken dinner!
Everyone: Could this be the legendary lucky-wife aura?
Captain (smirking): No, it's a lucky-husband aura.
In-game: A shotgun-wielding, head-on brawler who always ends up nearly dead, the unlucky and adorable shou, VS. A 98k headshot sniper god and his personal medic, the gong.
In real life: A sharp-tongued, willful, bad-tempered star player shou, VS. A scheming goofball captain who dotes on him, the gong.
My next esports novel, I'm Really Here for a Tryout [Esports], is seeking readers!
Huo Hao, a left-behind child, is kicked out by his stepmother. Just then, he receives an invitation to go to the city and become a professional gamer.
The city is so big that Huo Hao gets dazzled and, clutching an address that says XX Road, No. XX, accidentally ends up at XX Road, No. X.
The person who opens the door is a cool, refined beauty. Huo Hao has never seen anyone so good-looking in his life. After a long pause, he stammers, "I... I'm here for a tryout."
The beauty glances at his hole-ridden shoes and frowns, but when he sees the new housekeeper's handsome face, he lets him in anyway.
Only then does Huo Hao realize the tryout isn't quite what he expected.
The beauty doesn't test his last-hitting, team-fight survival skills, or champion pool. Instead, he hands Huo Hao a card and tells him to cook and clean every day, and occasionally warm the bed.
Huo Hao: Got it. This is meant to temper my willpower.
He works diligently, and the beauty looks more and more satisfied each day, treating him better and better. He still shows no sign of letting Huo Hao join the team, though.
Finally, one day, Huo Hao can't help asking the beauty in his arms, "Did I pass the tryout?"
Pei Huanyu gives him a strange look and shifts into a more comfortable position. "Of course."
Huo Hao, excited: Then can I...
Pei Huanyu: Move into my room?
Huo Hao: ...Join the LPL?
Pei Huanyu: ????????
A brand-new, wealthy team called VG suddenly joins the LPL. In its first season, it spends a fortune acquiring the top-bid top laner, a carry jungler, a champion mid laner, a genius support, and... the unknown AD, Huo Hao?
The AD just grins foolishly at everyone, looking none too bright. But just as people start assuming Huo Hao got in through connections, his family background comes to light: his father doesn't care for him, his mother doesn't love him, and he was forced to drop out after middle school. Huo Hao also reveals on stream that his monthly allowance is only 800 yuan.
Everyone feels sorry for him: So he's a poor little thing after all... Damn those capitalists!
Just as everyone assumes Huo Hao was a desperate choice made because the team was short on funds, he proves himself with his performance on the field.
Everyone finally understands: So he really earned his place through skill.
Just as people are praising the investor for having such a sharp eye, the legendary, icy big shot Pei Huanyu, the team's investor, suddenly shows up at the VG club. Without even announcing himself, he barges into the training room while the team is streaming. The club manager follows behind him, trembling, and watches the big shot stand there with a cold expression. He doesn't dare warn the players, who are focused on their game.
The big shot looks around the room and walks up behind Huo Hao.
The manager and everyone watching the stream are on tenterhooks. They all know Huo Hao is an idiot, and they're afraid he'll upset the big shot and get the club's investment pulled.
The big shot stands behind Huo Hao, but Huo Hao remains focused on his game. The big shot taps his shoulder, and Huo Hao dodges him.
The big shot's face darkens. Behind him, the manager covers his face, unable to bear watching.
Huo Hao finally finishes the game and turns around. Seeing the big shot's face, he freezes for a moment. Before he can say anything, the big shot grabs him by the collar and yanks him out of his chair.
The stream's chat begs for mercy: Sir, stop! Huo Hao may be a bit of an idiot, but he's a good person! He doesn't deserve to die!
In the oppressive silence of the training room, the big shot suddenly speaks in a fierce tone:
"How many times have I told you to throw away all those old-man clothes? Why the hell are you still wearing them?"
The AD grabs the hotheaded big shot from behind and pulls him into his arms. "Awooo, honey, I'm sorry!"
Everyone: ????????
Reader's guide:
1. Gong-focused story. Pei Huanyu is the shou, Huo Hao is the gong. Think: a cold and abstinent big-shot shou who acts spoiled with his gong in private, paired with a country-bumpkin sunshine gong with eight-pack abs and maxed-out househusband traits.
2. The gong may be a bit rustic, but he follows the rules of being a devoted husband! He calls the shou "honey" and gives him all his earnings, so he only has 800 yuan in spending money each month!
3. They're each other's first love. The gong will shine in the field where he's strongest.
4. More romance in the early part, perhaps more career development later. The game is LoL, but you don't need to play it to enjoy the story.
5. A silly comedy. I hope everyone who reads it can relax and have a good time.
Theme:
How can I put it, I only have one feeling when I see this so far, this feeling is really unpleasant, it is inexplicably uncomfortable to watch, even if I will grow up later, but when a young man loses in a game and is in a bad mood, he will maliciously insult others on the Internet with swear words, or even say bad words to someone he meets on the first day. No matter what he says, it will make people sad. I felt a little uncomfortable. The author said that I would not write Shou as a naughty child, but just after seeing this, I felt that Shou was arrogant and impolite. He was no different from those spoiled naughty children. I had no desire to continue reading [This is only a personal opinion, to help clear the mines. I have already escaped. Friends who think that Wen is good, please don't criticize me, I will go on my own.]
The character design is so bad and brainless, mainly because he has a bad temper, is too unlucky and too lucky, which makes him look a bit weird, right? ? ?
I have nothing to say about this card. I was about to subscribe when I found out that there were only five chapters left. The problem is, there are so many issues that have not been explained clearly, including family issues and threatening text messages. Is this the end of the story? ? ? I wasn't interested in reading the last few chapters. . . . Just win a championship for no reason and that's it. . . . Dizzy. . . . .
Hahaha, so tragic! ! !
There is another person, who is that Xu?
"Zhu" is a big thorn in the side of the author~
