Taking a Celestial Master into a Horror Movie

[Provisional Blurb]

Never make sarcastic comments while watching a horror movie, because... you'll transmigrate!

The youthful Jing Shaobin said just a couple of things too many while watching a movie, and got himself scared to death.

Then, by another stroke of bad luck, he was recruited by the game Midnight Arrives.

Jing Shaobin (holding popcorn): Why me?

Game: To teach you how to spot the important details in horror movies, and cure your! smart! mouth!

Yin Chen (holding a copper coin sword): What about me?

Game (glaring): You're a Heavenly Master, but your skills are terrible. I'll! train! you!

Jing Shaobin & Yin Chen: I just want to come back to life. Why is it so hard...

A ghost-fearing, ghost-seeing, incompetent Heavenly Master gong x a sharp-tongued shou who's no fool and has nerves of steel

...Fight your way back to life through death, young man!

Midnight Arrives Game Guide:

1. Each round has ten contestants. The top three scorers qualify to advance and compete in the next zone.

2. Each player has three lives in the game. They can extend their lives with items or mission rewards. Once all three lives are used up, their eligibility to be reborn is automatically revoked.

3. The ultimate winner of this season's game will be granted a chance to be reborn and return to the real world.

Game Worlds (tentative):

1. Chinese horror movies

2. Japanese horror movies

3. Thai horror movies

4. Western horror movies

5. Classic horror movies from the last century

[Reader's Guide]

1. Not traditional quick transmigration. Infinite-flow, leveling-up story with a central plot.

2. The ghost-fearing, ghost-seeing, incompetent Heavenly Master gong (Yin Chen) x the sharp-tongued shou who's no fool and has nerves of steel (Jing Shaobin). The gong becomes absurdly powerful later on, with a charming contrast to his usual self.

3. No angst. Daily updates once it starts. Sweet, sweet, sweet.
