He might as well have been a machine without feelings. No matter how good she was to him, it made no difference. At a reunion after they got back in touch, after a few rounds of drinks, someone asked what she remembered most from when she was twenty. She curled her lips into a smile and said in a flat voice, “The thing I'll remember most, and regret most, for the rest of my life is loving him.” “He wasn't all that. Hard to win over, and no class. Pretty boring.” When it was Xu Yu's turn, he answered, “My first love.” “If I could do it all over again,” he said, eyes lowered, “I'd pursue her first.” She thought Xu Yu had never loved her, until she found his notebooks and saw her name inside the ring on his finger, and written on his skin. Her name was everywhere. - Xu Yu, Nan City's star lawyer, is handsome and refined, aloof and seemingly uninterested in women. Yet rumors say he has a first love, a beloved white moonlight. After much digging, people could only make out the character “Yue.” Much later, someone captured Xu Yu in the night clutching the wrist of Jiang Yue, a popular young actress, and refusing to let go. When Jiang Yue appeared in public again, she had a ring on her finger. #It turns out Xu Yu's white moonlight is Jiang Yue# [Scene] During the time Xu Yu was pursuing Jiang Yue, she gave him the cold shoulder more times than he could count. Later, as he smoothed her hair, he said, “Do you know how hard that was for me back then?” Jiang Yue: Serves you right :) As soon as she finished laughing, he captured her lips. Jiang Yue: “When did you get so good at kissing...?” “After yearning for you day and night for more than a thousand days and nights, of course I'm going to get it all back.” Jiang Yue: You shameless old pervert, you dog “The first love letter was from you to me, saying we should be together. The second was from me to you, asking you to come back to me.” Reader's guide: 1. A popular, talented actress x a top lawyer. Both are each other's first and only. No love rivals. The story itself takes precedence; the blurb is for reference only~ 2. As is customary, this is a second-chance romance, full of angst and sweetness, with a few heart-wrenching moments and a diary of an aloof man's failed attempts to win her back. [Content notes]: The logic is limited, and the writing has its flaws. The entertainment-industry details are all made up by the author, who doesn't follow celebrities. Please be understanding. The leads are imperfect and have both made mistakes. This is a slow-burn story, so readers who prefer a fast pace should proceed with caution. This is the author's first time writing a plot and career arc, and there are rough edges. *The theme song for this story is “Love's for Sale”: Love isn't something you can just buy!
