Synopsis:

When he first arrives in the crappy little town of Pingluo, the already short-tempered Jiang Yingyu gets into a fight with someone at the station and, for good measure, gives him a mouthful of kisses.

An Sheng: ???

His first kiss is gone just like that? And with a guy, too!

Jiang Yingyu: It was a misunderstanding, a misunderstanding.

Later, Jiang Yingyu discovers that the guy with the super-thick glasses is his deskmate and neighbor. At his grandmother's urging, the guy not only doesn't give him a hard time, but goes out of his way to be nice to him.

But why does An Sheng look at him so strangely?

Why does he keep staring at Jiang's butt and saying he can see a ball of fire there?

An Sheng takes off his glasses: There really is a ball of fire. Let me touch it and see if it's hot.

After an accident, Zhuo Yifan wakes up in a strange room. The moment he opens his eyes, he discovers he's become a cat as black as coal, and one that can actually talk!

Just as he finally accepts the fact that he's become a cat and tries to direct his four legs, each with a mind of its own, to climb out of the cat bed, he trips over the tiny bed and goes sprawling. Suddenly, someone grabs him by the scruff and lifts him straight up...

Before Zhuo Yifan can reunite with his good buddy, He Tianhang's next words make his fur stand on end.

Zhuo Yifan, eyes narrowing as he enjoys the petting: Hmm?

A couple seconds later, He Tianhang adds, "Or maybe I should call you Dog Egg."

Xiang Qiu is an amateur writer. He spends his days grinding through a miserable job and his nights rushing to finish his manuscript.

He's shy and bashful in person, but online he can come up with all sorts of spicy jokes and innuendo on the spot.

Xiang Qiu has had the same writing buddy since he was a rookie. He thinks his friend must be even more clueless than he is, because all the guy does is sit and write all day. He knows nothing about trending topics or celebrity gossip, so how could he keep up with the latest memes?

But then one day, his writing buddy says he's made it onto the featured list and asks Xiang Qiu to promote his story...

People like them, minor writers with barely any readership, don't usually get a good spot.

So on the day his friend gets featured, Xiang Qiu drags the slider all the way to the bottom of the list and clicks through the stories one by one, but can't find his friend's work anywhere.

He checks the date his friend said he'd be featured to make sure he got it right, then searches again. At last, he finds his supposedly "clueless" buddy on the first page.

Xiang Qiu (gnawing on his fingers): So my writing buddy really is a big shot!

Not long after his friend's identity is exposed, Xiang Qiu happens to notice one day at work that his boss has left a page open on his computer. On it is the danmei novel Xiang Qiu is currently writing!

Xiang Qiu is completely stunned. He recognizes the reader account very well: isn't that the reader who always dominates his top donor leaderboard?
