Qingqing Loves Me

The first half of Xie Zhaoyuan's life was quite eventful. He was born the crown prince's legitimate eldest son, became crown prince while still young, and then, as he grew older, got the whole emperor's-family package deal, only to be sent away by his own mother to change careers and become a Daoist priest.

By the time he was past thirty, his parents and brothers were all dead, leaving him the sole heir to ascend the throne as emperor.

But the emperor himself had a problem.

He was about to meet his pen pal. What should he say?

Notes:

1. The pairing is Xie Zhaoyuan and Chu He Ning: a transmigrated heroine and a native male lead, with an age gap that I consider necessary.

2. A sweet little story written to relieve stress.

3. I'm bad at history, so the setting is fictional.

Theme: Criticism of feudal ethics
