When You're Deep in Time [GL]

[A daily-update author, perhaps? My new novel, "Bright Mirror Stand," is now underway. Please add it to your collection~] Years later, Luo Ziqin wins Best Actress at the Hong Kong Film Awards. As the ceremony is broadcast live, Cheng Youyou is in front of her camera, livestreaming tonight's dinner for her fans: squirrel-shaped mandarin fish. One cheeky comment pops up in the chat: [Chengcheng, what do you think about Luo Ziqin winning Best Actress?] Cheng Youyou sees it and smiles faintly. She pours golden sauce over the lightly crisped fish. It runs along the bones and spreads across the white porcelain plate. As the chat fills with comments about how delicious it looks, she says: "Then I'll use this fish leaping over the Dragon Gate to wish her a bright future." "Green, green are the robes, and deep, deep my longing. Though I do not go to you, why have you not sent me a message?" A few things to know before reading: This is a story about a washed-up, bottom-tier actress who becomes a livestreamer and reunites with a famous Best Actress, and how they fall in love again. Mutual pining, with flashbacks to their high school days. A slow burn, with plenty of food. Best read late at night.
