[Tentative blurb as of 2019.11.16]
Ming Yan is the protagonist of The Hegemon of the Nine Provinces. He was born a prince, but to escape an assassination plot, he concealed his identity from childhood and lived in the Chancellor's residence as an unloved son of a concubine. Later, he reclaimed his identity, won the struggle for the throne, and became emperor. With his reputation as a tyrant and his iron-fisted rule, he ushered in an age of boundless prosperity in which the Great Yao Empire dominated the Nine Provinces.
Qi Yu is the villainous male supporting character in The Hegemon of the Nine Provinces, and the legitimate son of Chancellor Qi. In the story, Qi Yu torments Ming Yan relentlessly before his identity is restored, even slashing his face and crippling his leg. Later, Qi Yu marries the Crown Prince. As Ming Yan regains his identity and grows more powerful, Qi Yu tries to seduce him, then plots against him again and again, seeking to kill him. On the eve of Ming Yan's coronation, Qi Yu is beaten to death in the courtyard.
After transmigrating into the male supporting character who shares his name, Qi Yu sees the pale young man kneeling in the hall and is so frightened that he tumbles out of bed.
Qi Yu throws his arms around Ming Yan, who is still called Qi Yan at this point, and confesses loudly to his bargain-basement father, Chancellor Qi:
"I broke the imperial inkstone! I jumped into the lake myself! I stole the old ancestor's bird's nest soup! It was me, me, all me! If you're going to beat him, you'll have to beat me first!"
But...
Ming Yan already has the scar that runs across his entire face, and his leg is already a little lame.
Qi Yu wants to cry. If he starts making amends now, can he still survive?
Several years later, the tyrant Ming Yan ascends the throne.
Ming Yan: "You've been plotting for ages and currying favor with me at every turn. Wasn't it all for this day?"
Qi Yu: "I haven't, I wouldn't dare, I'm terrified. My loyalty is as clear as the sun and moon, Your Majesty. Please don't make things up."
Ming Yan: "Save your protestations of loyalty for our wedding night. Will you marry me and become my Empress of your own accord, or shall I force you to marry me and become my Empress? Choose one."
Qi Yu: "Your servant sobs, sobs, sobs."
1. The top and bottom are inseparable, and I've swallowed the key. There's plenty of sweetness, so enjoy it in moderation.
2. Ancient-style ABO setting with original worldbuilding: Sun Radiance fate = alpha, Moon Radiance fate = omega, Star Radiance fate = bate.
3. Given the author's personality, there may be a little silliness.
