I Was Reborn Alongside My Scum Ex

Everyone knows that the Sixth Prince, Rong Lan, is peerlessly beautiful, like a flawless gem, yet at heart he is unruly, cruel, and volatile, and has never been favored by the emperor.

Liang Yanchuan shared a bed with him for years, yet felt he had never understood Rong Lan's thoughts. But it didn't matter. They shared a bed, not their hearts, and Liang Yanchuan had someone he loved tucked away in his own heart.

Only after the emperor died and the princes turned against one another, when Liang Yanchuan abandoned Rong Lan at the most critical moment for the sake of his beloved, did he learn the truth as Rong Lan lay dying: the person Rong Lan loved was him. And the beloved he had spent more than a decade searching for wasn't the Thirteenth Prince at all, but Rong Lan.

Several years passed in a daze. Then Liang Yanchuan was ambushed at Rong Lan's tomb.

When he awoke, he discovered he had been reborn, back before Rong Lan's death, while the emperor was still alive and everything could still be changed. He had awakened in a bed at Shuo Yue Residence, with the Sixth Prince he had longed for beside him.

Overjoyed, he was about to pull Rong Lan into his arms when those captivating eyes suddenly opened. The moment Rong Lan recognized him, he kicked Liang Yanchuan out of bed with a look of disgust.

Liang Yanchuan: …

The next day, Liang Yanchuan tried to sneak into Rong Lan's Shuo Yue Residence again, only to see a huge sign hanging outside the door:

Liang Yanchuan and dogs are not allowed inside.

Liang Yanchuan: …

Then everyone noticed that the heir to Prince Liang had turned into a devoted simp, always wherever the Sixth Prince was.

Before he was reborn: classic melodramatic substitute trope.

After he was reborn: a long road to winning back his love.

No changing the love interest. Maximum heartbreak.
