The Early-Dying White Moonlight in the Ultraman World

I’m Guang Xi, an early-doomed passerby on an Ultraman set. I’m either trapped beneath a collapsing building or running and screaming.

The good news is, after I die, I transmigrate.

The first time, the planet I was on was destroyed by a monster.

The second time, I died alongside the giant who had saved me, defending our world.

The fourth time, I quietly closed my eyes in the palm of the giant flying into space.

On the umpteenth time I woke up, a silver-and-red giant was holding me in both hands. I looked at his enormous eyes, trembling and flickering as if he were about to cry. I carefully made out his features, then pressed myself against his finger as understanding dawned. “...Sorry, I scared you again, didn’t I, Mebius.”

Humans are weak. Pitiful.

They should be cherished, like dewdrops on petals in the morning sun.

They should be treasured, like every faint glimmer of light in the darkness.

The all-powerful giants of light, heroes who uphold peace throughout the universe, beings revered as gods by humanity, protectors of all things...

They should protect the lives of the people they love.

They must never stand by and watch her life slip through their fingers like fine sand, from his hands, from their hands, like dewdrops vanishing from petals in the sunlight.

Never.

* All Ultras are heterosexual, so it’s perfectly normal for Ultras and their human hosts to fall for the heroine for no reason.

* I really couldn’t figure out how to combine multiple Ultras, so I could only go with quick transmigration and tragic endings. I just want to write about widowers of all ages, young, old, and in between, who are past their prime. A lover’s tears scorch the chest. At heart, this is still a sunny, sweet romance, with an all-ship setup. Everyone’s feelings are healthy except the villains’ (probably).

* There’s no outline. I make things up as I go, and I’m very good at abandoning outlines (.) I’m not sure what the main story will look like until I write it. This time, I should actually get around to writing some romance, haha.

* Thanks to my friend Xing Xing for helping with the blurb, sob. There will be crossovers with some slice-of-life anime.

Theme: Humanity’s courage is the greatest song of praise.
