With technology at a standstill and other species invading, humanity has lost its connection to its origins and can no longer possess "anomalies," "evolution," or "creation." Meanwhile, the other races, steadily taking over human resources, have begun joining forces to build their own civilizations.

Fushimi Saruhiko (Scepter 4's third-in-command, a seasoned tsundere who clicks his tongue at everything, but actually a good kid): "Tch. It's not even my world, so why should I go through all that trouble?"
Dazai Osamu (the youngest executive in the Port Mafia, a walking mass of darkness, and a suicide enthusiast): "Wouldn't it be nice if we all said goodbye to the world in style?"
Kida Masaomi (former leader of the Yellow Scarves, now an ordinary high school student, cheerful and optimistic, and the only normal one): "We should at least figure out why this is happening. Also, the guy above me is terrifying!"
Okabe Rintaro (college student and inventor, a chuunibyou who either does nothing or makes a huge mess): "Leave it to me! I am the mad scientist, Hououin Kyouma!"
