Coach! I Want to Learn Figure Skating

[The pair skating story next door, Falling in Love Is Not as Good as Practicing Figure Skating, is currently being serialized...]

[Important!! Let me warn everyone first! This is an early work of mine, written on impulse when I first got into figure skating during the PyeongChang Olympic cycle and had only recently discovered the Winter Olympics. I didn't know enough, so there are lots of errors and inaccurate details (I kneel and accept my punishment), and the writing is very immature! You have to treat this as an entirely fictional setting, not apply real-world figure skating rules. Think carefully before jumping in!]

Blurb:

1. The day Gu Pan Xi won the championship, a reporter asked her in an interview, "Xi, can you tell us what your ideal type is?"

Gu Pan Xi answered without hesitation: "Fair-skinned, tall, with phoenix eyes."

The reporters below scribbled away.

Holding the microphone onstage, Gu Pan Xi enunciated clearly: "Most importantly, that person's name has to be Shen Tong."

2. Gu Pan Xi: "Actually... I'm pretty good-looking, and my personality isn't bad. I've competed in the Olympics and won a few gold medals, so Shen Tong, could you consider me?"

I want you to see my math papers covered in check marks. I want you to see my national team uniform, and what I look like standing on the podium draped in my country's flag.

I'm a good catch. Maybe you could try falling for me.

The new pair skating story, Falling in Love Is Not as Good as Practicing Figure Skating, is currently being serialized...

"My dreams: 1. Win an Olympic gold medal. 2. Win an Olympic gold medal with Xie Yun Jun."

- Lu You's locked diary

[That day, I saw someone standing before me against the light. In the darkness, she took my hand and said, "From today on, you're my partner. We'll train in pair skating together."]

[That's why I stepped onto the rink.]

- Excerpt from Xie Yun Jun's solo interview

[Tonight, the stars shine bright, and our passion still burns. At last, China's young pair skating generation has taken up the torch from the veterans, giving everything to defend the glory of Chinese figure skating for their country. Lu You and Xie Yun Jun, from the age of budding youth to their early twenties, they have walked hand in hand through countless seasons, flown across thousands of miles, and risen from obscurity to a dazzling red-carpet moment. At this very moment, the princess and her knight have finally won their golden medals of honor, letting the five-star red flag bloom passionately and freely across this pristine white rink.]
