The female lead is pretty strong, but still not as strong as Sirius, James, and Snape.
Sirius is the love interest. Unlike in Struggling in the Dark, this female lead doesn't have the innate advantage of being a "little sister." So the Sirius she sees is a young, reckless, unruly heartthrob, and she's always a little afraid of him and doesn't dare get close.
