In This Life and the Next, Never to Part Again (GL)

The author's writing isn't very good. I feel like I'm going to have a lot of plot holes to fill! I'll write as quickly as I can; hopefully I won't abandon it... All right, here's the proper blurb: She met her gaze. Who fell in love first, and who had their heart broken first? She looked at her, never imagining that one glance would keep her in sight from then on, taking root and sprouting within her. Three years later, the eldest princess's condition grew steadily worse. The imperial physicians were helpless, and the emperor flew into a rage, ordering notices to be posted far and wide: Whoever could cure the eldest princess's lovesickness would be rewarded with a high-ranking position and a fortune. Just then, in a lakeside pavilion, Xia Mo gazed intently at her. "Your Highness, I'm hungry." A breeze swept by, stirring faint ripples in someone's heart.
