My Brother's Friend Is Kind of Cocky

Born in 1981, Su Mo met a mysterious old man when he was little. A single piece of candy from him changed Su Mo’s life.

In those days, supernatural powers were beyond Su Mo’s imagination. That piece of candy gave him the ability to see the future, but the price was too high: he became mute.

Even so, he was a little mute adored by many people. (I mean his family. Anyone who got the wrong idea, step right this way →)

“Xiao Mo, your big brother’s off to school.” This was Su Mo’s own older brother.

Su Mo tugged at his hand, then signed, “You’re going to get beaten up today. Be careful.”

“Who’s going to beat me up? Whoever tries will be eating dirt.” His big brother sauntered off.

Su Mo pouted. Just wait till you get beaten up, big brother.

That evening, his brother came home from school looking battered and dusty. His face was swollen as he said, “Han Dong, next time I’ll beat him to a pulp.”

And that Han Dong was his brother’s friend, who would eventually steal his little brother away.

“Come here, pretty boy.”

This looks like a story about supernatural powers, but it’s really a love story.

A sweet, happy ending.
