The Spirit Paper Effigy Shop

My name is Xiao An, and I run a paper funerary goods shop.

My life has always been very regular. I stay in the shop folding paper during the day, then go out at night to burn things for wandering ghosts.

People are always afraid of things that are different, like ghosts, or someone like me, who can see spirits.

It's not so bad. If I had friends and family, they'd grow old and die, and I'd have to shed a few tears. After all, not everyone is like me, ageless and immortal. This way is simpler. I'm quite content on my own.

But then there's that nemesis of mine, Quan Dexi.

Whether a hundred years ago or now, he just loves making trouble for me.

This idea came to me after watching the movie Paper Funerary Shop of Souls. It's a collection of little stories linked together around Xiao An and Quan Dexi. Characters from various films and TV dramas may appear, or the stories may be entirely original.
