In 1998, monsters were officially removed from the list of humanity's natural enemies, and hunting them was no longer legal.

In 2010, the law recognized monsters as humanoid beings. As long as they did not transform into their true forms, they enjoyed all the rights of humans.

Zhao Xixi's parents were both key members of an anti-monster organization, so she was taught from a young age never to make friends with monsters.

"They eat children. If a child doesn't behave, they'll eat them right up!"

"The prettier a monster is, the more likely it is to lie!"

"We're not like them!"

"If you see a monster, stay as far away as you can!"
