In 2331, zombies and mutated beasts roamed the land, and humanity struggled to survive in the cracks of a post-apocalyptic world. The Southern Safe Base was the last refuge, led by Bai Zhengqi.
In this world fraught with danger, Bai Jingjing was just an ordinary Esper. Her plant-based ability was considered useless. Food was running short, and yesterday she'd received only one moldy bun.
To survive, she joined her team in hunting in a fallen zone. The air was filled with all kinds of foul smells. They reached a stretch of ruins that had once been a wealthy neighborhood, where treasure might still be hidden. But Zhong Lu, a scheming member of the team, deliberately led Bai Jingjing to the southern area, which had already been picked clean, and watched as she was fooled like an idiot.
Facing low-level zombies, Bai Jingjing conjured vines and killed them with ease, then extracted their cores. The apartment buildings before her were dilapidated and stained with blood. This was the merciless apocalypse.
By the time she realized she'd been tricked, it was too late. Fortunately, she found an old 21st-century cellphone in the ruins, which became her only means of communicating with the outside world.
When she returned to the base, she was allocated half a month's rations. However, tensions within the team were escalating, and the taunts from Zhong Lu and Yan Yichun weighed heavily on her.
Late at night, the phone suddenly lit up, and she unexpectedly connected with a cultivator named Dong Si. Their worlds were completely different, yet the miraculous phone linked them.
Dong Si came from a mysterious world of cultivation and was fascinated by the phone. Bai Jingjing learned the ways of cultivation from him through the phone and tried sending him a vine.
In the morning, she joined her team on a hunt at Qianxi Mountain. They found the paw prints of a feline mutant beast in the undergrowth. Following the tracks, they reached a small hill and discovered the beast's den.
During the fierce battle, Bai Jingjing used her vines to fend off the beast, but nearly lost her life. At the critical moment, the phone lit up again, and a "weed" appeared in her hand. The beast sniffed it and became as docile as a cat.
The sight stunned everyone. After they returned to the base, researchers examined her and the beast, but found nothing. Bai Jingjing was taken more seriously as a result.
Meanwhile, her conversations with Dong Si became more frequent. When she learned that the vines she conjured were considered precious immortal herbs in the cultivation world, she decided to use the phone to send knowledge from that world to hers. Perhaps it could bring humanity new hope.
In this apocalypse, Bai Jingjing's cross-time communication with Dong Si seemed to cast a ray of light on humanity's future.
Theme:
Speechless, the plot jumps around, but I still want to finish it in order to have a beginning and an end, but Jingran gave such an ending that makes people want to curse.
What the hell is this copywriting? Really? The type of persuading people to quit with their strength! You're awesome author!
The top priority, shouldn't it be how to deal with the R people, and then the truth serum for the scumbag?
*. ?(ˊωˋ*)??
What the hell is a strong man's sword intention?
Cheers (???_??)?
