A Cat Named Niannian Decides to Cultivate and Become Human

Niannian the cat had never once had a full meal. It spent its kittenhood rummaging through the trash cans in the Peaceful Neighborhood. One midsummer night, it met a little golden retriever. The cheerful pup had a wonderful owner, and every now and then Niannian even managed to snag a bite of dog food. Niannian wanted a home, too. It seemed someone had heard its wish and taught it a way to cultivate itself into a human.
