After I Was Forced to Marry, I Wed a Wanted Criminal of the Court

After discussing it with my editor, this novel will go VIP tomorrow. Chapters 1 through 25 will be retroactively locked, and after that I'll update 6,000 to 10,000 characters a day. Thanks for your support!

In the Great Chu Dynasty, the foolish, young emperor has an unusual fetish: he's attracted to ugliness.

The emperor is choosing his concubines, and the ministers are beside themselves with worry.

One day, a minister brings a burly, rough-looking young woman to an audience and asks, "Your Majesty, are you satisfied?"

A wanted criminal, disguised as a woman to evade capture, hurriedly gives the emperor a flirtatious wink.

The young emperor: "...Ugh! Her! Set the wedding date!"

This is the story of a useless crown prince who gets sidelined and his own brave, formidable consort as they team up to battle their way through court and level up to the pinnacle of life.

Bonus scene:

Duan Qingyi: "Even if I starve to death, die out there, or jump from here, I will never dress as a woman and marry this little emperor!"

A few days later.

Duan Qingyi: "Waaah, Your Majesty, do I look beautiful?"

A sly thief who acts sweet and delicate in public but is fierce in private, paired with a tyrant who acts domineering in public but is a total coward in private.

New novel synopsis: Yu Xiu transmigrates into a cultivation novel. To live up to his world-shattering status, he finds himself a highly skilled hermit to serve as his master.

Liu Heyu orders every subordinate in his demonic palace: His little disciple is an ordinary mortal. If so much as a hair falls from his head while he's away from home, they'll pay for it with their lives.

The Demon Lord's subordinates exchange troubled looks, each thinking to themselves: "Last time, the Immortal Lord of Nanhua Mountain treated him with the utmost respect."

"The Demon Lord Siyuan of the Lanqing Demonic Hall seems to obey his every word, too."

"I saw a gourd fall from him before. It looked like a powerful magical artifact."

So what kind of mortal is this, exactly?!

Meanwhile, Yu Xiu thinks: I also know mechanics, chemistry, electromagnetism, mechanical crafts, and geology. What should I use next to trick the head of an immortal sect into giving me the artifact in his hands, so I can present it to my master?
