"If I alone keep half a moonlight in my heart, Even amid clashing blades and warhorses, beneath the lone smoke rising over the desert, I will still raise my sword and sing, living freely beneath heaven and earth, faithful unto death." A few scattered lights, distant voices in the night. In an age of chaos and war, heroes cherish one another. In this dim and dusty world, I will do all I can to soothe your hatred, And restore an age of peace and prosperity. Compared with this long, drawn-out life, there are peach-pink cheeks and vermilion lips, tender knees, green grass and reeds, and rain. Those fleeting affections that can bring you back to life in an instant may be no more than a short, visible stretch of fate's battered palm lines, yet as the seasons turn, they become part of the scenery. Burning, bright, and beautiful, youth passes in a blur, and all things are transient. ~ A note: 1. Given my limited writing ability, knowledge, and imagination, Fengyue has chosen to set this story in an alternate Warring States period. I hope my shallow analysis and imagining of Zhong Lichun and Sun Bin will give their love story a relatively satisfying ending. 2. I started writing after digging through the research. 3. I dedicate this story to Zhong Lichun. Theme:
