I've Been Done Being a Doormat for Years

[My upcoming story, "Pretend Marriage," is now available to read. If you're interested, check it out in my author page. The blurb is below. Kisses!] Jiang Shaoming never would have imagined it. Only six months after his mother died, his father, who had married into her family, brought out a former wife and an illegitimate son. It turned out that their happy family of twenty-five years had all been an illusion. It was nothing but a scam to swindle him out of his inheritance. Jiang Shaoming thought that if he accepted this, he would be unworthy of being his mother's son! If you want money and power, I'll make sure you don't get a single thing. And then there's Zhuo Rui. You actually dared to plant a corporate spy in my family's company? Just you wait! Zhuo Rui: This ungrateful little brat. Why do I like him more the nastier he gets? A face-slapping story that's ridiculously satisfying. 2. Neither the gong nor the shou is a pushover. They're not easy to bully: one is openly wild, the other secretly unrestrained. Upcoming story, now available to read: "Pretend Marriage" Tan Miao's lifelong dream was to become someone worthy of admiration. He never expected that when the Tan family got into trouble, they would offer him up as a gift. How could he possibly fight against the powerful Tan family? Tan Miao thought it was just a deal, with each of them getting what they wanted. But after they got married, something felt off. Was this doting-on-his-wife fanatic really Han Jun? Han Jun is the chairman of Beihai, a famous cosmetics company. His days are packed with work. He scorns romance: Can it make money or bring success? That is, until he meets Tan Miao. On the outside: I just think this good-looking kid is nice. I'll just take a look. In reality: Bully Tan Miao? Go ahead and try. Heh. Everyone knows Beihai chairman Han Jun is forceful and never takes no for an answer. Far from being mild-mannered, many people secretly call him a tyrant. Even his secretary thinks so. But one day, when the secretary goes to Han Jun's house to deliver some documents, he hears Han Jun speaking to Tan Miao in a gentle voice he has never heard before: "Good boy, have one more bite." Is this really the tyrant? 1. A setting where same-sex marriage is legal. 2. Tan Miao is 18, Han Jun is 28. 3. Han Jun has difficulty walking on one leg and needs a cane. He'll recover later. Theme:
