Disqualified City

This is a chaotic era. Fifty years ago, an accident at an obscure research institute caused an unknown substance to leak and sweep across the globe. About thirty percent of the population perished, while one in a thousand people underwent mutations and developed various supernatural abilities. Unrest broke out everywhere, and only a few regions managed to maintain the appearance of peace. Our story takes place fifty years later, in a city called Binhai. In a turbulent world, how can one hold on to their original intentions and become a better person? The setting isn't very rigorous, so I hope readers won't scrutinize it too closely. PS: This is neither an apocalyptic story nor a zombie story, much less an apocalyptic zombie story. It's simply urban fantasy.
