One world when awake, another in dreams, traveling between the two. Two different times and spaces, all for you alone! One is Zongzheng Zhaoming, a celebrated prodigy in the history department at B University; the other is Li Xiaoyan, the archaeology department's breathtakingly beautiful campus belle. One is Zongzheng Zhaoming, the gifted and ambitious empress of the Daxing Kingdom; the other is Li Xiaoyan, the daughter of a military family in the Daxing Kingdom. The same people in different worlds, yet each lives only for the other.
At B University:
Student A: "Have you heard? Zongzheng Zhaoming, the history department's prodigy, is a lesbian!"
Student B: "What's going on? The archaeology department's campus belle, Li Xiaoyan, is a lesbian too!"
Student C: "And the most infuriating thing is, those two are a couple!"
In the Daxing Kingdom:
Commoner A: "I hear His Majesty has announced to the whole world that Li Xiaoyan will be made empress!"
Commoner B: "Though His Majesty's marriage to Li Xiaoyan isn't accepted by convention, everyone in our Daqing Kingdom supports them!"
