With Lian Sha's attentive care and plenty of good food, Shao Jingcheng gradually recovered. But he was remarkably gifted at forgetting his pain as soon as his wounds healed. Not long after waking up, he was back to his slick-tongued rambling, managing barely half a serious sentence in every ten.
Lian Sha told him, "My name is Lian Sha." Her name wasn't known by everyone, but she was still someone whose reputation struck fear into countless hearts. She expected Shao Jingcheng to be surprised, but he only repeated the name to himself several times, then sighed languidly. "That name has plenty of sharpness, but not enough grace. It doesn't suit a beauty like you at all. 'A thousand-petaled red lotus shines beside the green waters.' You'd sound prettier if you were called Fuqu."
Lian Sha was already used to Shao Jingcheng's hackneyed poetic babble and continued, "I'm the top assassin of the Heavenly Kill Tower."
Shao Jingcheng's eyes lit up. "An assassin? Aren't assassins supposed to be vicious and terrifying? How can there be a beauty like you?"
A short story of martial-world grudges and vendettas, with a bizarre pace, a melodramatic ending, and plenty of potential dealbreakers. Just read it for fun.
