Before Eldest Princess Rong Yu married into the Ji family, they were a bunch of nouveau riche peasants. After Eldest Princess Rong Yu married into the family, the Ji family was still a bunch of nouveau riche peasants. They weren't much good at anything else, but they were keen on showing off. Unfortunately, they weren't very good at it. This is the story of a Great Qi princess marrying into a family of country bumpkins newly arrived in high society. Then she leads a bunch of hicks in putting on airs as they make their way forward.
