How to Raise a Wild Mermaid

In 2052, an American fishing boat caught a living female mermaid, a creature previously thought to exist only in legends. In an instant, mermaids became a global sensation!

Liu Xiulin, a graduate of a third-rate university, works as a dolphin trainer and also performs as a mermaid at an aquarium. Then one day, a competitor showed up out of nowhere to steal his side gig. Not only was the guy taller and more handsome, he even looked more like a mermaid in costume!

Liu Xiulin had hoped they could work together in peace, but the guy kept threatening, intimidating, and teasing him. His behavior was downright awful!

Enough was enough. Liu Xiulin was furious! In the mermaid show, skill was what mattered. So he began challenging the guy to a series of spectacular underwater swims and graceful spins in the aquarium's enormous exhibit hall.

The captured, confined, and finally free to let loose male mermaid: ??? Is this human doing a courtship dance for me???

One month later.

Liu Xiulin was told that the handsome guy he'd been provoking for a month was actually a purebred male mermaid, fierce and savage enough to take on a shark, and that from that day on, he would be Liu Xiulin's charge.
