The Empress's Days of Tender Devotion

In her previous life, Gu Roujia thought she was very happy. Her elder sister was an imperial consort, and her betrothed doted on her. But then Shen Che, the regent, deposed the emperor and installed another in his place. Her sister was put under house arrest, her betrothed turned on her and broke off their engagement, and Gu Roujia became the laughingstock of the capital. She died of illness in misery. After being reborn, the old emperor is still alive, her sister is still the favored consort who reigns supreme over the six palaces, and the scumbag isn't her betrothed yet. As for Shen Che... he's still a pitiful little thing. To secure her happiness for the rest of her life, Gu Roujia decides to build a good relationship with Shen Che. Shen Che: "Are you trying to help them come up with new ways to torment me?" Gu Roujia: "Nonsense! I sincerely, sincerely want to be good to you!" Shen Che: "Perfect! I sincerely, sincerely want to marry you too... Ahem, how about becoming my empress?" [Reading Guide] 1. The male lead is ruthless in both heart and hand, with maximum devotion.
