Failed to Lie Flat After Returning from the Horror World

Six months after escaping from a horror story, Ning Shu started working at a magazine specializing in paranormal investigations. Editing a paranormal magazine in a real world with no ghosts was safe and harmless. She could even coast on her past experience. It was practically the perfect job for enjoying retirement. But just as Ning Shu was getting ready to lie flat, she was startled to discover that some familiar faces from the horror world had somehow slipped into the supposedly staged paranormal incidents that people had been putting on all along... Ning Shu: "This is great! I've found the real thing! Now my laid-back life is completely doomed!" At some point, people began to notice that scenes straight out of ghost stories were quietly unfolding in their otherwise ordinary daily lives. The actors, however, were a little different from what they had imagined... [An abandoned building] As the red-clothed ghost closed in, Ning Shu looked up and carefully measured the distance between the ceiling and the floor while everyone around her scrambled to flee in panic. Someone beside her screamed in despair: "What are you doing?! The ghost is coming! Aaah!" Ning Shu: "Oh, I'm worried the ceiling here is too low. I might not be able to hang myself properly later, which would affect the spirit-exorcism effect." As she spoke, an old hemp rope appeared out of thin air at her command. It tightened around her neck, then lifted her into the air! Everyone else: "?? Is that how you exorcise spirits? You kill yourself before the ghost even gets here??" Reading notes: 1. The core rule of the horror world is that ghosts absolutely cannot be killed. 2. This isn't a Bking story, but it is a power fantasy (seriously). 3. Enjoy the story, be nice to each other, and thank you all. Sending love. Theme: No matter what difficulties you face, keep striving to overcome them.
