The Immortal's Witty Tale

Blurb Below

Qi Xie records strange tales.

-- Zhuang Zhou, Zhuangzi: Inner Chapters, Pre-Qin period

The Great Rong dynasty had been established for over four hundred years.

Tales of immortals, gods, and strange happenings were all the rage among the people.

Lu Qisheng didn't believe in supernatural forces,

until he returned to his hometown and met Bai Ting, who claimed to be his fiance.

All those myths and legends of the past

came rushing right before his eyes.

The Less Serious Blurb

When Bai Ting woke up,

the Taoist temple had collapsed,

and his master and senior brothers had all run off.

To avoid starving to death,

he had no choice but to travel a thousand miles to seek refuge with his fiance.

From Luoxia Ravine in the Kingdom of Tianheng to Baishi Town in Great Rong,

the distance was twelve hundred li.

What a hard journey for a Taoist who had to travel on two feet!

Heads-up:

1. The entire novel The 108 Everyday Dishes has been rewritten.

2. The pairing is unchanged: Lu Qisheng × Bai Ting.

3. The romance comes much later, but I promise it'll be sweet.

4. Classical xianxia stories in the vein of Strange Tales from a Chinese Studio and In Search of the Supernatural.

5. Moderate xianxia, just eat, drink, and have fun.

6. An imagined dynasty where same-sex marriage is legal.

Theme: Explore the truth of an imagined history and foster a commitment to seeking truth.
