The White Horse Is Not a Horse

PS: This story is based on the "Horse and Silkworm Girl" chapter of the Eastern Jin strange-tales collection In Search of the Supernatural, by Gan Bao.

The male lead was inspired by the Little White Dragon from Journey to the West.

"Horse, my horse. If you bring my father back, I'll marry you."

The beautiful girl stroked the white horse's mane beneath the night sky.

The white horse galloped off, breaking free of its reins and vanishing into the darkness.

"I am the son of the West Sea Dragon King. I was framed, and my father turned me into a white horse as punishment. Why would I not be worthy of you?" The cold-faced man in white challenged the girl who had gone back on her promise.
