[Xingren] A Love Letter Through the Years

"You all did such a good job. I have every reason to feel sad, don't I?" The one speaking teasingly in a voice as sweet as honey was clearly the source of all his worries. Nioh blinked and gave up trying to hide it. "That's because of you, too." "Huh?" "You're my motivation," he said. "Because I know you're giving it everything you've got just to stay alive." "When you put it like that, you make me sound so pitiful." "But that's the truth. The fact that you're still alive is the greatest thing I could be thankful for." Yukimura turned his head in surprise. Under the white lights, the person who seemed almost to glow with paleness had exhaustion that even his makeup couldn't conceal. If he weren't utterly worn out, he never would have said something like that. But even without hearing it, Yukimura understood. He curved his brows in a smile and lifted an arm around Nioh's shoulders. All he could feel beneath his hand were bones. "It's rare to hear you say something like that," he said with a laugh. "As a reward, why don't you try putting on some weight?" "Don't be so picky." Boy band AU.
