Bright and Free of Worry

[A seemingly aloof bodyguard who is actually a dark, possessive ghost × a passionate heiress who insists on becoming a reporter] Nie Zhao's father had her late in life, and his greatest wish was for her to "live safe and sound." Nie Zhao refused to inherit the family business and insisted on chasing news stories. Her father indulged her, but sent along a bodyguard. Zhang Hanshan was a warrior monk who had left an ancient monastery. With sharp brows and broad, straight shoulders, he stood there without saying more than a few words. At first, Nie Zhao thought he was dull and was annoyed that he kept following her on investigations. But with him always hovering around her, her heart began to wander. She deliberately wore a camisole and turned around in front of him, deliberately brushed her iced drink against his arm, and deliberately threw herself into his arms whenever danger arose. But Zhang Hanshan would always turn his face away, telling her to keep things proper. After hitting a wall time and again, Nie Zhao was nearly ready to give up. She assumed that this aloof beauty truly couldn't stand her fiery nature, and decided to gather herself and let him go. Until that stormy night, when she returned to the villa to retrieve some materials and heard a man's ragged breathing. The prayer ribbon she'd asked for at the ancient monastery, inscribed with "May Zhao live safe and sound," was wrapped around his palm, crumpled from his grasp. His Adam's apple bobbed as he murmured, over and over, only her name. Theme: Save yourself before you save others
