Those days when we lived on nothing but basketball and dreams still seem close enough to touch. I remember the scorching sunlight when I left the hospital wearing a knee brace; the despair and the fall that came when my dream was lost for a while; the thrill and excitement of grabbing a basketball again and running; and my encounter with him, followed by all those tangled, complicated stories.
