Inuyasha, a sheltered child prodigy who has seen little of the world, unexpectedly gets the chance to show off his talents before the emperor. Though he has been famous since childhood, his impoverished life has never given him a chance to put his talents to use. Now that he has this opportunity, he sails smoothly through the treacherous world of officialdom. On the few occasions he runs into trouble, Emperor Sesshomaru helps him escape it. He originally thought Sesshomaru had taken a liking to his talent, but it seems things aren't that simple. Could Sesshomaru have taken a liking to him as a person, too?
