Uproot This Campus Heartthrob

Blurb: The new transfer student kissed the aloof campus heartthrob, the one nobody dared to mess with. She even hit his cousin. The transfer student came forward to set the record straight: "He kissed me." A crazy heroine vs. a cold, aloof campus heartthrob I dedicate this story to the hope that every young love can have a happy ending. Reader's guide: Romance: one couple School life in the first half, adult life in the second [This is what I'm writing next. Please add it to your favorites! I'm building up a backlog.] Back in school, Ning Qian had a secret crush on Jiang Zhuo. She tasted every shade of joy and sorrow, and gave him all her heart. Then, during the graduation banquet for their teachers, the power suddenly went out. In the darkness, Jiang Zhuo pulled Ning Qian into his arms, held her chin, and kissed her. With her heart pounding, she thought her secret crush had finally come true. But when the lights came back on, she saw the bewildered look in Jiang Zhuo's eyes and realized he'd kissed the wrong person. That night, Ning Qian cried her eyes out in secret. Years later, at a class reunion, they played Truth or Dare and were asked what they regretted most from their school days. Ning Qian answered calmly, neither sad nor happy: "I regret crying over someone on graduation day." Everyone pressed her to say who it was, but Ning Qian kept quiet, and the matter was dropped. A round later, one of the school's legendary former big shots finally lost. Someone asked him, "Jiang Zhuo, you're a star student. Surely you had nothing to regret back in school?" Jiang Zhuo was even more handsome and commanding than he had been as a boy, though his eyes held a trace of helplessness. His answer was loaded with meaning. "I did. I regret making someone cry." *It isn't time that twists my heart into knots, but you, lingering in those moments.* Bonus scene: The two meet again, and wake up together after a night of drinking. Jiang Zhuo tenderly calls Ning Qian, "Baby." But the bewilderment on Ning Qian's face is just like Jiang Zhuo's after their kiss all those years ago. "You?!" Jiang Zhuo: ... #My wife can wait ten years to get her revenge.# Theme: A beautiful first love.
