Ten years after the paranormal resurgence, ghost hunters have become the most sought-after profession in this new era.
But with fierce competition, high risks, and short life expectancies, the industry is facing a severe shortage of new recruits worldwide.
To encourage people to take up the profession, the globally livestreamed event "Ghost-Hunting Live" is launched, welcoming ghost hunters of every level from every country.
Gu Huaiyan, the last shaman of his kind, has spent eighteen years performing spirit dances. Fresh from the countryside, he is bundled off to the show by a shady agency.
Amid the wild antics of all kinds of masters in bizarre outfits, from shamans and Taoist priests to witches and yin-yang masters, a slender figure wearing a Nuo mask eagerly joins the fray.
