[Currently accepting advance reservations; gathering materials. I'll start this one after finishing the Fengshen novel. The title may still change later.]
On her way to the Cao family estate to practice medicine alongside her maternal uncle, Hua Tuo, Feng Qing was stopped by a drunken man on the street. He was dead drunk, yet his eyes were remarkably clear. Softhearted, she stayed to look after the drunk, only to end up covered in his vomit. Their paths had crossed, and from then on he clung to her relentlessly.
"Yingning, Yingning: after being stirred, one finds peace. Since you don't like to talk, how about the courtesy name Yingning?"
Everyone said that Guo Jia, also known as Guo Fengxiao, had no regard for proper conduct, but he simply liked his wine. That day, lying drunk in the street, he rolled right to someone's feet. As he clutched her leg and vomited up everything in his stomach, his hazy eyes quietly opened for a fleeting moment.
What appeared before him was a hazy, indistinct silhouette, surrounded by an aura as spotless and bright as moonlight, like a halo of light.
He hadn't yet seen her face clearly, but at that moment an utterly absurd thought suddenly surfaced in Guo Jia's mind: One meeting, a lifetime lost.
One meeting, a lifetime astray.
Reader's Guide:
1. The heroine is a native of the setting, not someone who transmigrated. The hero is Guo Jia. A detached, unfeeling girl × a seemingly innocent but actually sly fox: a story of relentless pursuit melting an iceberg.
2. The heroine can fight. She doesn't take part in the struggle to rule the land, but she has no fondness for the Han dynasty.
3. The heroine sides with Cao Wei. Later, she will break with them over certain events and wander from place to place. In terms of plot, Cao Wei > Eastern Wu > Shu Han.
4. The male characters with romantic storylines, in order of appearance, are Zhao Yun, Cao Cao, and Zhou Yu. Their relationships with her can be summed up as love at first sight for Zhao Yun, taking her by force for Cao Cao, and childhood sweethearts for Zhou Yu. The latter two get more page time.
5. For the sake of the plot, historical figures' ages and characterizations have been changed, and events are used freely. Please don't take it as serious historical research.
6. The outline was set in 2017, and the blurb was written on 2024.12.30.
Theme: With only a clear breeze, one should wait for the bright moon
