Demon Beast Academy

By the 21st century, most demons have turned over a new leaf. Only a handful still wreak havoc among humans. The well-behaved demons have one more wish: to enter the Monster Academy. They must study for the Five-Year Divine Exam and its Three-Year Practice Tests. Those who pass go on to the Immortal Academy for four years of instruction, after which they are assigned to various posts. From then on, they become Heavenly Court civil servants and enjoy extraordinary benefits. Monster Academy: Your first step toward immortality! The old principal: But do you think just any Tom, Dick, or Harry can get into Monster Academy? Have you passed the College English Test Band 4 and Band 6? Have you earned a thousand merit points? Have you tasted all the hardships of the human world? You have none of that? Then get back there and repeat the year! This story has an outline. It has three volumes. A slow burn. No main CP. Volume One follows the protagonist's little adventures while cultivating in the human world. Volume Two begins at Monster Academy, and Volume Three takes place at Immortal Academy, where the protagonist ultimately achieves enlightenment. The three volumes can be read independently, and cultivation doesn't take up much of the story. There is no main CP, but there is one secondary CP. A young man has an unrequited crush on the protagonist and eventually gets rejected. This story will be serialized starting Saturday, September 30. I'll post 10,000 words that day.
