Every Little Thing

[An early work, so read with caution. Short story, not contracted]

One day, Ye Zhi happily told Gu Yuanwei, "Yuanwei, my new comic is finished. The response has been pretty good!"

She was practically begging for praise.

Without looking up from the newspaper, Gu Yuanwei said, "An Xiaoxiao is drawn so cutely."

Ye Zhi's eager expression turned puzzled. "Huh? You've read my comic?"

Gu Yuanwei finally set down the newspaper, her eyes gleaming. "A-Zhi, whenever I missed you in Country E, reading your comic was the only thing that made me feel less sad."

She's gotten better and better at saying sweet things.

With a smile spreading across her face, Ye Zhi forgot to ask how Gu Yuanwei, so far away in Country E at the time, had learned her pen name and found her comic.

Gu Yuanwei gazed tenderly at Ye Zhi, who was holding a tablet beside her.

You're not the only one who has missed someone so deeply.
