Transmigrated as the Villain: Reboot Edition

[This is mostly to flesh out the worldbuilding and, while I'm at it, revise the characterization and plot. It's for the sake of the author's own obsessive-compulsive needs, so I really don't recommend reading it.] Before transmigrating, Hua Li already thought Lucifer was a tragic character. After transmigrating, Hua Li decided he was the biggest tragedy of all. Sure, he was a die-hard fan of this book, but that didn't mean he wanted to transmigrate into it in person! Every character in this book has a terrible ending! And the fate of Lucifer, the villain Hua Li transmigrated into, is especially awful. But what's done is done. No matter how much you complain, the god who handles transmigration won't let you off the hook. Luckily, Hua Li still has powerful abilities to use, reliable companions to boss around, and detailed character profiles for everyone in the book to consult. It seems there may still be a chance to turn things around. So, for the sake of saving others and himself, Hua Li leads the entire story off in an outrageously out-of-character direction. Theme:
