[The Sword of the Blue Blood] My Dear Wen Yi

Wen Yi, the young lord of Wen Family Fort and the fifth young master. A skilled calligrapher and swordsman, with an elegant bearing. Obeying his father and brothers, he tracks the son of their family’s sworn enemy all the way to Miao territory. The traces remain, but the cunning rabbit has vanished into one of its three burrows. Following the trail, he catches a glimpse of a Miao girl bound by villagers and religious followers, about to be thrown to the snakes. Xia Xueyi of the Xia family is alone in the world. His parents and elder sister were all killed by bandits from the Wen family. His attempt to exact revenge at their door fails. He meets the Saintess He Hongyao, who falls for him, and uses her love to manipulate her. He gets his hands on the Three Treasures of the Five Poisons Sect, then flees and hides in another land, devoting himself to martial arts. All he wants is to avenge his family. But the Miao girl he discarded as if she were nothing is nowhere to be seen. There is the pain of being reunited with someone you resent, and the agony of separation. I think of the red peonies by the bridge. For whom do they bloom year after year? The crowd-pleasing series where lovers turn into rivals in love(?). Well. How delightful.
