My Cousin Has Turned Dark

[Blurb One]

After Su Lingxi, the legitimate daughter of a marquis's household, won the title of Jinling's greatest beauty at a plum-blossom viewing party, admirers began flocking to her.

There was no end to the marriage proposals, but something strange happened: her betrothed would either inexplicably break off the engagement or suddenly die...

A certain cousin had hoped to warn everyone not to set their sights on his cousin, but it didn't work very well...

In the end, someone decided it would be less trouble to marry her himself.

[Blurb Two]

Su Lingxi returned to Jinling with just one goal: to uncover the truth behind her mother's death and avenge her. As for that man, since he loathed her, hated her, and never wanted to see her again, so be it. But she hadn't expected that, despite not wanting to see each other, they would meet again.

Lu Shengxuan returned to Jinling with a plan: to stir up trouble, make those who had harmed him pay, and let the people who loved him rest in peace. But he hadn't expected her to return, too...

Things to know before reading:

1. This is a revenge story with a male protagonist. It is not a rebirth story, and the guilty get their comeuppance in this life.

2. The protagonists reunite after a long separation. When they were young, the male protagonist once stood in for the female protagonist's cousin.

3. The setting is fictional, so please don't nitpick the historical details.

4. Both protagonists are inexperienced in love and the ending is happy.

5. Feel free to point out factual errors, but if the story isn't for you, please don't attack me personally.
