The Little Concubine

Zhuangzhuang had alluring almond-shaped eyes and a graceful figure. Every glance was full of charm, but fate treated her cruelly. She had lived under other people's roofs since childhood and suffered endless mistreatment.

When she turned sixteen, her uncle offered her as a concubine to a powerful man. She thought her fortunes had finally changed and that she could live comfortably in fine clothes. But as soon as she entered the residence, two terrible pieces of news arrived in quick succession:

The man she was to serve was fifty-eight!

The old man had suddenly fallen gravely ill and was about to die, and they were going to make her die with him!

Zhuangzhuang: "I, I thank you and your whole family, for eight generations!!!"

To save her life, Zhuangzhuang tried every trick she could think of to plan her escape. On the day she succeeded, she fled in a panic and, by a twist of fate, stumbled into a hot spring deep in the mountains.

A man with a strong, fit physique and an imposing air was bathing in the pool. To make matters worse, he seemed to have been drugged.

Zhuangzhuang caught sight of the imperial robe scattered on the bank and shuddered. It was even, even worse...
