Part 1

Reborn raised his head and met Sawada Tsunayoshi's gaze. "Are you unable to write your own name, or are you unable to remember it?"

Sawada Tsunayoshi suddenly asked in return, "Reborn, have you ever seen a 'normal person' my age who can't write his own name?"

Part 2

"In another world, you have become part of history, yet your name was never recorded in this era. Just as you have now forgotten who you are and lost what matters most."

"This is the punishment for violating the world's order. You may consider it the price of being reborn."

"We have no intention of interfering with your actions. In fact, our leader and all the Vindice can become your spear and shield. But as those who safeguard the balance of order, this is the punishment we must impose."

"One day you will remember everything. We Vindice will be waiting for you at all times, our great mafia boss."

But please understand that we cannot restore what you have lost.

These were the words left unspoken by the Vindice, who acted on orders. They were also the secret the Vindice were determined not to reveal. Yet two extraordinary people discovered it.

"It's all right. This is your duty, and it's also the responsibility I must bear. I don't know what it feels like to trust someone, but I will believe in them."

These words came from the Tenth Vongola boss, a man with brown hair and a smile on his face that held no warmth. He was gentle and powerful, yet devoid of emotion. He kept his distance from others while protecting them, and his soul had come from far in the future.

Unsurprisingly, those words sank deep into the heart of the person behind him, and into the hearts of the people he would protect at any cost in the future.

"In that case, we'll take responsibility for finding what Tsuna lost because of us."

These words came from the Tenth Vongola Rain Guardian, a guileless boy who refused to leave behind the most important friend in his life. But they were what all the Guardians had silently agreed on, and the words drew one person's objection.

Part 3

"Little Tsuna, have you ever considered this? Was it you who failed to write down your name, or was it the world that failed to record you?"

Part 4

"Hey, I just forgot who I am and lost my feelings, but I'm still me."

A long-winded synopsis:

"I never wrote down my name, not because that world failed to record me, but because I forgot who I was. From now on, you will help me find everything I've lost."

All right, this is the familiar rebirth-and-amnesia trope. The story is divided into four parts, plus an extra. As for the introduction... Well, simply put, the story differs not only in its time jumps but also in the Guardians' goals. The four parts happen to follow the stages of a narrative arc, so that's how the story came to be. Enjoy, but if you don't like it, I'm not responsible. Also, the pairing is set as 2769. The chance of reversing the pairing is very low. Updates are irregular.
